Product description

What are the uses of Arsha Hita Tablet?

Dhootapapeshwar Arsha Hita Tablet is an Ayurvedic medicine that gives relief in piles and fissures. It helps when passing stool brings sharp pain and burning, blood comes with the stool, or the anus keeps itching. More than half the weight of each tablet is resin from the sarja tree. Reetha and suran (jimikand) are added too. With regular use, the bleeding slows down and the burning and itching ease.

Quick Facts

  • It is an all-plant tablet. There's no metal or mineral ash in it, just three things from plants, ground fine and pressed together.
  • Benefits — Hard stool keeps piles and fissures sore. This tablet helps the motions come on time and pass without pushing. Swollen piles slowly get smaller. A fissure is a small cut at the anus. Once the stool stops coming out hard, that cut can heal.
  • Indications — Given for both kinds of piles. Internal piles stay inside and mostly bleed. External piles are sore lumps outside the anus, and they hurt when you sit.
  • Dosage — Take 2 to 3 tablets, two or three times a day, with lukewarm water.
  • Side Effects — Nothing is reported at the normal dose. Taking more than that can make you feel sick, because of the reetha in it. It is kept away from pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and young children. Anyone allergic to food colours or paraben preservatives should skip it.
  • Dhootapapeshwar Arsha Hita Ointment is often used with it. Wash the area, pat it dry, and put a little ointment on the piles. Most people apply it after passing stool.
  • Sit in a tub of warm water for 10 to 15 minutes, once or twice a day. Do it after passing stool. It eases the pain and keeps the area clean.

Arsha Hita Tablet Ingredients: Sarja Resin, Reetha and Suran

Each tablet has 350 mg of active ingredients:

  • Sarja exudate (safed damar resin): 200 mg
  • Arishtaka fruit (reetha): 100 mg
  • Soorana corm (suran / jimikand): 50 mg

Colours: erythrosine, red iron oxide, indigo carmine and titanium dioxide.
Preservatives: sodium methyl paraben and sodium propyl paraben.

Sarja resin comes out of the bark of a tall tree in the forests of the Western Ghats. It dries into white lumps. It is used to stop bleeding and calm itching, and that's why arsha hita tab carries so much of it. Reetha is the soapnut many homes still use to wash hair. Here, its fruit helps the swollen veins shrink. And suran is the big, rough root sold at vegetable shops. Ayurveda counts it as the best food for piles. In this tablet, it keeps digestion working well.

Do's and Don'ts While Taking Arsha Hita Tablet

What to Eat

Keep meals light and easy to digest. Suran sabzi is a good pick. So are green leafy sabzis and chichinda (snake gourd). Moong and masoor dal both suit. Have amla and a few munakka (black raisins) daily. Chhaach (buttermilk) can be taken often. White butter without salt and goat milk are fine too.

What to Avoid

Spicy and oily food makes the burning worse, so leave it for now. Skip anything stale or fermented, like leftover food or idli-dosa batter kept for days. Dahi is out. So are urad dal and green peas (matar). Khar, the alkaline salt some people add while cooking, should stay out too. Don't overeat, and don't eat when you're not hungry. At mealtime, don't drink a lot of water. Don't skip it completely either.

Lifestyle

Don't sit on a hard seat for hours. Use a soft cushion and get up to walk now and then. A daily walk or some light exercise helps. Never push hard on the toilet. When the urge comes, go. Waiting makes the stool dry and hard. Wash the anus with water after every motion and keep it dry. While on arsha hita tab, go to bed on time and skip the afternoon nap. Cut down on sex till the piles settle.
