What are the uses of Swayambhuva Guggul?

Dhootapapeshwar Swayambhuva Guggul is an Ayurvedic tablet for old skin diseases and white patches. It helps when white spots show up on the skin, eczema keeps oozing water, or the itching does not stop day or night. Guggulu makes up about a quarter of every tablet. Bakuchi and shilajit come next. With regular use, the itching and oozing calm down, and the white patches slowly start getting their colour back.

• Guggulu gum is the base of every tablet of Swayambhuva Guggulu. This gum comes out of a thorny bush when its bark is cut. The herbs and minerals are powdered, pounded into the gum and then pressed into tablets.

• Indications — Given for high blood sugar. It is also given when water fills up inside the belly and makes it swell.

Neem bark, katha, karanj leaves, haldi and giloy are all bitter herbs. They clean the blood. Gorakhmundi flowers are added for the skin as well. What to Eat

Rice and other grains that are at least a year old, barley (jau) and moong dal. Light food that is easy to digest. Cow's milk and cow ghee are good too.

What to Avoid

Curd, and food that is spicy, sour, salty or fermented, like pickle and dosa batter. Urad dal and kulthi dal. Yavakshar, a salt made from the ash of barley plants. And never have milk in the same meal as salty or sour food.

Lifestyle
