Product description

What are the uses of Kaleda Chyawanprash Avaleha?

Krishna Gopal Kaleda Chyawanprash is an Ayurvedic tonic made to build daily strength and control frequent cold and cough. It helps with tiredness by evening, a sore throat every time the weather changes, forgetting what was read and weakness after an illness. Fresh amla and sugar make up most of every spoonful. Peepal and vanshlochan are added too. Taken daily, it brings energy, and the body falls sick less.

Quick Facts

  • Nearly 50 ingredients go into it.
  • Benefits: The skin looks fresher and brighter with regular use. Men with low stamina and vigor find it useful too.
  • Indications: Given for weak lungs, breathing trouble, a weak heart and gout. It is also used for urine troubles and problems with semen.
  • Dosage: 10 to 20 g twice a day, taken with milk.
  • Side Effects: Most people take it without any trouble. Taking much more than the dose can bring loose motions or a heavy stomach.
  • For children who eat poorly and fall sick often, Aravindasava is often given along with it.
  • Close the lid tightly after every use. Keep the jar away from the stove and direct sunlight.

What is ashtavarga?

Ashtavarga is a group of eight rare herbs. They grow high up in the Himalayas. Their names are riddhi, vriddhi, kakoli, ksheerkakoli, meda, mahameda, jivak and rishabhak. They give strength and help a thin body put on weight. These herbs are hard to find. So many brands use common herbs like ashwagandha and shatavari instead.

Which one should you choose?

Choose Kaleda if you want:

  • A plain chyawanprash that the whole family can take every day
  • The eight real ashtavarga herbs
  • No bhasma or mineral of any kind
  • A lower price

Choose Swamala Classic if you want:

  • Brahmi for memory
  • Safed musli for stamina
  • Iron for low blood
  • A little honey and kesar in the mix

For most families, Kaleda gives more value for the money, since for the price of 100 g of Swamala Classic, you can buy about 300 g of Kaleda.
