In Ayurveda, Amlapitta which is also known as Hyperacidity happens when there is a lot of Pitta in the stomach. Sutshekhar Ras is a well known Ayurvedic medicine that people use to treat Hyperacidity. The ingredients in this formulation like Suddha Tankana, Shankha Bhasma and Maricha work to neutralise excess amounts of acid produced by the stomach and decrease burning sensation. Thus, restore normal gastric pH over time.

Peptic Ulcer:

It also helps in  reduction of ulcers and healing the mucosa from inside. Sutshekhar ras gold is used a lot in practice to treat peptic ulcer.
