What are the uses of A Flu O Cil Forte?
Dhootapapeshwar A Flu O Cil Forte Tablet is an Ayurvedic medicine to bring flu fever and cold under control. It helps when the body burns with fever, the nose runs, the head feels heavy and the throat is sore. Most of each tablet is Mahasudarshan Choorna extract, made from chirayata and other bitter herbs. Tribhuvankirti Rasa goes in too. With it, fever comes down and a blocked nose opens.

- Ingredients — Sootashekhar Rasa is there for the acidity and nausea that often come along with fever. Tribhuvankirti Rasa is made with sonth, kali mirch and pippali, ground in the juice of tulsi, adrak and dhatura. Mahasudarshan also carries giloy, kutki, neem and haldi, among many others.
- It is a combination tablet. Tribhuvankirti Rasa and Sootashekhar Rasa are each complete medicines on their own, and here they're joined in one tablet. Mahasudarshan Choorna isn't added the way it's sold, though. It is boiled in water first, and only that extract goes in.
- Benefits — Also eases the body ache that comes with flu. When a cold turns into sinus trouble and the face feels heavy and blocked, it helps there as well.
- Indications — Given for seasonal fever, fever that stays on for days, cough, and the sneezing and watery nose of dust allergy.
- Dosage — Take 1 tablet three times a day, with water.
- Side Effects — Most people have no trouble at the normal dose. The bitter taste makes a few people feel sick in the stomach. Both rasas contain purified bachnag, a strong root, along with purified minerals, so don't raise the dose on your own, and don't keep taking it for months. It is avoided in pregnancy.
- Amritarishta is often given with it when fever keeps coming back, or when the body stays weak for days after the flu is gone.
- You may sweat a lot as the fever comes down, so change into dry clothes. Sip warm water through the day and stay away from cold drinks and ice cream till the cold clears.
